New & Exciting Models Landing at Browns Plains Mazda in 2024
Mazda Australia continues into 2024 rolling with the great momentum it developed on the back of last year's new model releases. In 2024 we're looking forward to seeing both some mild upgrades as well as some additional models being welcomed into the fold.
Here's a quick summary of what's arriving in the Browns Plains Mazda showroom in 2024:
MX-5 (Facelift)
This enduring Japanese roadster continues its evolution 35 years after it first landed in Australia with a host of upgrades on the cards in 2024. The most significant improvements preserve the MX-5's legendary driver-oriented reputation focused heavily on the manual transmission model. This includes a new Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) mode optimised for the circuit, a new asymmetric limited-slip differential, as well as improved responses in the throttle pedal and steering system.
Other upgrades include a refreshed 8.8-inch infotainment system that now includes Mazda's Connected Service System, a new tan interior, new wheel designs, and a new exterior colour option. The updated model is set to arrive in the first half of 2024.
CX-90 (Plug-in Hybrid)
The CX-90 is set to match its five-seat sibling - the CX-60 - in terms of drivetrain options with the arrival of a plug-in hybrid model arriving at Browns Plains Mazda in late 2024.
The new drivetrain will feature a 2.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine in combination with a 17.8kWh battery pack for a total output of 241kW/500Nm. We're expecting this to power the large luxury SUV on pure battery power for about 42 kilometres.
Prices haven't been confirmed just yet, but we'll be sure to keep updated once they're announced.
CX-70
Arriving in late 2024, the wide body two-row CX-70 is another stellar arrival in Mazda's latest luxury SUV lineup featuring the two 3.3-litre inline-6 turbocharged engine options (petrol & diesel) from the CX-90 complete with 48V mild hybrid technology.
It also features Mazda's 8-speed automatic transmission, rear-biased all-wheel drive and 2,500kg towing capacity complete with a trailer hitch view.
Aimed at supporting your active lifestyle, the CX-70 excels in versatility thanks to the remote folding second row, extended flat floor, and convenient underfloor storage compartments.

CX-80
The third model in Mazda's new lineup of luxury SUVs is set to arrive this year offering even more choice for customers in the form of the first-ever CX-80. The three-row, seven-seat SUV will fit in just below the CX-90 filling the space of the outgoing CX-9.
Few details have been confirmed but as the name suggests, it will sit somewhere in between the CX-60 and CX-90 in terms of price and specifications, plus we can expect it to have a similar range of drivetrain options.
We've been thoroughly impressed with both the CX-60 and CX-90 so anticipation is high for the arrival of the new CX-80 in early 2024.
